Our Local Partners

Andy and Eva, our local chalet managers, are happy to offer guests assistance & ensure you start your holiday in good spirits.

Alps Accommodation

Alps Accommodation is owned and run by Tom and Alison Ward-Lee who live in Samoens. They have, with their expert local knowledge, helped many of our guests to choose Chalet Le Kiwi Vert for Winter and Summer Holidays in the valley.

Chalet Discounts

Road Cycling

In 2017 one of the leading bike shops in Samoens offered guests at our chalet preferential treatment when hiring bikes from them. We expect this to also be available for the Summer of 2018.

Catering

LVF Alps deliver a range of freshly prepared meals to the chalet. See their website for details.

In 2018 our property managers KPS will be extending their range of hampers to include a home catered option …. more details soon.

If you wish to hire equipment, but don’t want to waste time queuing in the shops, SkiHireSamoens can deliver to the chalet on the evening you arrive in Samoens – leaving you with more time to spend on the slopes. Their rates are highly competitive especially for guests at Chalet Le Kiwi Vert. See skihire2u-samoens.com for further details **

Family Recommendations

Some of our family’s most memorable experiences, we hope you will also find them enjoyable :-

For a different evening in winter try snowshoeing under the stars followed by a fondue in a yurt on the mountainside, visit  ATYPIK NORDIK, for further information.

If you would like a break from skiing try snowshoeing and we recommend snowshoesamoens.

Monday evenings in winter the ice ring hosts an Ice Hockey Match with free entry, watch from the balcony or pop across the road and watch the fun.

Snow or Sun the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval is a must to visit and see this area of outstanding beauty with it’s dramatic waterfalls.

There are many refuges in the mountains where you can stop for lunch or stay overnight. Our favourite time is May and June when the wild flowers are at their best and would suggest refuge Alfred Will http://refuge-wills.com/ as a good choice.

If you choose a day out at Annecy, lunch at Arômatik’ (Michelin Bib Gourmand), http://www.restaurant-aromatik.com/ where you will enjoy the fixed 3 course meal for €22 before wandering around the old town, lake and shops.
